A Vineland couple was traveling home on Wednesday afternoon when they were involved in a fatal car accident. Both of them passed away due to their injuries sustained in the accident.

The couple, both 77-years-old, knew each other in high school and reconnected in their later years. They were married in the 1990s and have been inseparable ever since. They were less than one block from their home when they were struck by another vehicle.

The second driver was a 17-year-old who escaped the accident without injuries. Police have begun investigating the accident, and at this time no charges have been made.
