Early Sunday morning along the lanes of Interstate 75, fog and smoke caused drivers to crash into one another. The result ended in 11 people dying and several others sustaining injuries.
A local brush fire mixed with immense fog caused the ability to see clearly diminish. Vehicles were trying to pull over on both sides of the highway when they were hit by other vehicles trying to do the same thing. Survivors of the crashes were saying that their visibility of the area was at zero percent.
A family of four was traveling back to Georgia when they were involved in a collision. Three of the four family members were killed in the crash. Investigation into the crash is still underway and officials are still not sure what caused the initial car accident to take place.
