An examination by National Transportation Safety Board investigators into the cause of a deadly plane crash that occurred last Tuesday has begun.
A small aircraft carrying four passengers crashed and killed everyone on board when it landed on Interstate 287 in Morristown. The passengers included a 45 year-old investment banker from Manhattan, his wife, their two children, and his colleague. Before the plane went down, the pilot reported icing to air traffic control and was in the middle of making an emergency call when radar and radio connection was lost.
Debris from the accident fell as far as a quarter mile. No one on the interstate was hurt.
