Possible salmonella contamination causes Nutmeg recall

Posted on Wednesday, December 1st, 2010 at 12:38 pm

Frontier Natural Products Co-op has issued a voluntary recall of two brands of non-organic nutmeg products due to possible salmonella contamination.

The products were sold under the Frontier Brand or the Whole Foods Market brand. The products contain nutmeg supplied by a New Jersey company, Mincing Overseas Spice Company and this company has also recalled the nutmeg product.

The recalled products include the 16 oz Frontier Bulk Nutmeg Ground and the Whole Foods 365 Nutmeg Ground.
