The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and the Ningbo Dongji Electronic Tech Co. LTC, have announced the voluntary recall of oscillating ceramic heaters due to the potential fire hazard.
Nearly 6,700 units are involved in the recall after it was found that the oscillating mechanism can pose a fire hazard if it shorts. No injuries have been reported, but two cases of fires occurring that resulted in property damage were reported.
The Touch Point Oscillating Ceramic Heaters are sold exclusively at Meijer stores from October 2009 through October 2010 for $25.
