Goya Foods Inc., of Secaucus, New Jersey along with the Federal Drug Administration have announced the recall of Frozen Mamey Pulp after a possible salmonella contamination.

The recall was announced after the FDA did a sample a package of the 14-ounce product and found signs of salmonella. No illnesses have been reported to the company, but the product has still been pulled from the shelf.

This product has been distributed in California, Arkansas, Colorado, Texas, Oregon and Utah. Consumers that have purchased the product are urged to throw it away and call Goya Foods in order to receive a full refund.
