Patio umbrellas from Bed, Bath & Beyond recalled

Posted on Wednesday, August 4th, 2010 at 2:48 pm

Nearly 7,600 solar lighted patio umbrellas have been recalled because a plastic lever may break causing the umbrella to fall. The product was manufactured in China, but sold at Bed, Bath & Beyond stores.

Twenty-one reports of broken umbrellas have been reported, three of them have resulted in injury. The product was sold in store and online between February and July. The product is 13-foot and comes in tan or chocolate covered materials. Consumers are urged to discontinue the use of the product.

If you or a loved one has been injured due to a poorly manufactured product, contact the New Jersey product liability lawyers of Levinson and Axelrod by calling 800-346-5529.
