Peppers recalled by Chipotle Mexican Grill

The Federal Drug Administration has recalled 2000 cases of poblano peppers due to suspected listeria contamination.

The peppers were sold and distributed to three Chipotle Mexican Grilles in the Nevada, California, and Arizona. Although the product has been recalled, there have been no reports of illness.

Listeria can be found in vegetables, milk, poultry, ice cream and cheeses and although most infections associated with the bacteria are mild some can lead to much more serious complications.
